Joga Bonito was born from refusal.

Refusal to turn music into content. Refusal to optimize emotion. Refusal to smooth sound into background consumption.

We returned to making music without asking why, because not making it was no longer possible.

No strategy. No positioning. No chasing cycles. Just the need to create — carefully, emotionally, intentionally. To create beautifully, for its own sake.

The name came as a joke after finishing a track. Then we realized we were back — not for relevance, not for validation, but for the physical need to make sound again. For its beauty.

Electronic music has always been emotional ground for all of us. Over time, we watched it become safer. Cleaner. Repetitive. Joga Bonito exists to move away from that.

We work in the tension between technological evolution and shared memory. Between new tools and emotional residue. Where memory is distorted, not preserved.

We don't resolve that tension. We let it shape the music.

We don't fix history. We don't predict the future. We let both mutate in the present.

No purity. No perfection. No clean narratives.

Release what feels true. Let people project themselves into it. Let it become something else.

Only sound that still feels dangerous to make.

If it feels too clean, it's probably dead. If it feels unresolved, we're interested.
